PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Did you ever wonder about the origins of your family?  Did they come over on the             Mayflower?  Did they travel through Ellis Island or were they here when the settlers arrived?  Come             join us at the March meeting as we discover how to uncover the mysteries of our humble beginnings             and how to piece together our family pasts and put them into our present.  It will be an interesting             meeting of self-discovery.  Be there March 10th.

Also don't forget that April is just around the corner.  Our auction will be here before you             realize it, so search those closets and cupboards for any slightly used or old items.  Take a letter to             solicit our area merchants and restaurants and help make this endeavor a success.

            As Always

            Esther T., President

AUCTION, AUCTION:  Solicitations are a little slow.  Some may have forgotten to obtain a letter that should be presented to any sponsor that is asked to give a donation. If you need a copy of that letter, you can e-mail me at eles56@bellsouth.net I will be able to forward you the copy of the letter that you can print and present to a donor.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!!   A gentle reminder from one of our members to wear red on Fridays as a way to show support to ALL our military personnel that served our country during their lifetime.

ATTENTION!!!   Clarification on the $2.00 monthly fee: bringing in food for hospitality OR bringing items for Western Wake Crisis Ministry does not eliminate the need to pay the $2.00 fee.

SUGGESTION BOX:  Ideas for charitable contributions should also be presented to the Board for consideration.  After going over all the requests, the Board will consider several and present them to the members for final approval.
